Last year I had the privilege of photographing stills for Secrets of the Castle, a documentary for BBC2 telling the fascinating story of Guedelon, a 13th Century French Castle in the making. Ruth Goodman, Peter Ginn and Tom Pinfold followed an extraordinary team of some 50 local people in their daily toils and period costume - building a castle piece by piece using only medieval techniques and materials of the time. Guedelon is located in Treigny, the heart of Burgundy and is well worth a visit - www.guedelon.fr
Ryder Cup Gala Dinner
2014 brought the Ryder Cup to Scotland and I was delighted to be asked to cover The Gala Dinner at The SSE Hydro on behalf of Vision Events - www.savav.co.uk. It was a tremendous night for Glasgow packed with sporting personalities and everyone wanted a photo of that cup, including Rory Bremner! Another distinguished gentleman stopped and casually asked me "darling, have you seen Nick Faldo", that made me smile!
Keeping Britain Safe BBC1
Over a year long in the making, Keeping Britain Safe for BBC1 saw Julia Bradbury finding out about the highs and lows of emergency services all over the country, thankfully I only joined her in Edinburgh!
Ships That Built the Commonwealth BBC2
The Linthouse Museum in Irvine was a treasure trove of Scottish maritime heritage and the chance to photograph the legendary David Hayman, who presented Ships That Built the Commonwealth.
